What is the mission of The 40 Acres & A Mule Project?
The 40 Acres & A Mule Project was founded with the purpose of acquiring Black-owned farmland. The farmland will be used as conduit to create a sanctuary to hold the history, food, and stories of Black culture in food and farming. The farmland will be used to teach others how to farm, provide farm-to-table resources, archive Black foodways from ancestral ways to today, and the importance of Black farms.
